The Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Mohamed Abbal Ahmed, presided over the signing of a protocol agreement for the creation of the “African Network for Educational Sciences” (RASED) on Monday morning in Nouakchott.

This new academic framework brings together the Higher School of Education in Nouakchott, the Faculty of Education and Training Sciences at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal, and the Faculty of Education Sciences at Mohammed V University in Rabat.

Signed on the sidelines of the opening of the first edition of the Nouakchott International Conference on Learning, this agreement provides a joint academic framework that seeks to unite efforts, encourage scientific research, and strengthen academic partnerships between institutions and researchers on the African continent.

In a speech delivered on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, the Secretary General emphasized that this meeting is in line with the ambitions of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, for the education system, ambitions that the government of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Ajay, is working to realize in order to ensure the sustainability of pedagogical development in accordance with a purely African vision.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Mr. Abdellatif Kidaï, emphasized that this agreement stems from a firm conviction that academic cooperation has become a strategic necessity.

In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences and Training Technologies at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Mr. Moustapha Soukhna, stressed the importance of this participatory framework in serving the common interests of the countries of the continent.
